Description

2 plate print requires a bit of plastic welding assembly:
1st plate has the cross in 5 parts. Once printed, trim off the brim then lay flat in the same orientation it printed. Place all the pieces together and ensure a snug fit on all the touching surfaces. Using your soldering iron (wedge tip, half power where possible) spot weld the top surfaces together. Place the iron onto the join and move back and forward for 2 seconds at most. Just long enough to see the separation line disappear. Next run the tip of the iron up all the walls of the join (inside and out), try for one slow smooth motion. Repeat till you run out of joins. Flip it over and blend the back surface together at the joins. All sounds like a bit of a pain, once you have your eye in, it takes 5 min to do a full set.
You can superglue if you prefer, its messy and any I have glued have failed after a few gigs.

There are 2 plates for stands, one has a wemos D1 Mini holder built in. If you are running the lights some other way opt for the blank stand

The crucifix is simply superglued into the slot in the stand (upright or upside down, makers choice). I have found its easier to push the leds into the cross before gluing the base but not a deal breaker.

Originally designed for and made on an ender 3. While I have made many over the years, it was only this week I needed to make some more since getting an X1. With the larger bed sizes I can probably join some of the parts together for less welded plastic joins, perhaps at the cost of printing another plate. I will asses and update in the coming month if there is interest.
