Introducing the Eternity Labs Kinetic Coaster - Flower of Life

Discover the mesmerizing beauty of the Flower of Life with our latest innovation. This iconic geometric figure, composed of evenly-spaced, overlapping circles arranged in a captivating flower-like pattern with sixfold symmetry, is more than just a visual delight. Revered as a symbol of sacred geometry, the Flower of Life embodies the fundamental forms of space and time, holding profound spiritual and philosophical significance across various cultures.

Our engineered coaster not only retains the great features of our previous designs but has now been transformed into an enchanting kinetic sculpture. Experience the magic as three rotating rings spin independently, creating a dynamic display of motion and symmetry.

To set up, simply pop the three rings out on the first use and push them back in until you hear a satisfying "Click." This ensures they separate properly from the back of the coaster.

Crafted with precision in Fusion 360, the tolerances for this model are meticulously tight. We’ve rigorously tested it on both the X1 and A1, but please let us know if you encounter any issues.

I love the way the design came out but sadly it doesn’t spin like others have said. white PLA and Silk Rainbow PLA. printed on A1 at 100%, no scaling.

update: I had to push really hard to pop the rings out from bottom. I feel like my print fused around the Z seam a little bit and thus makes it hard to rotate. I hand sanded the inner rings (400 grit and about 5-10 passes) to get the center and middle rings to spin freely. The biggest ring does not spin as smoothly. I also printed 2 at the same time so I’m not sure if that affects the precision of the print. hope that helps someone who attempts this print

pop the rings out! push from the bottom, get them out, rotate them, put the back in with a click :)

thank you sir for such a detailed comment! I’m sure someone will find this useful, I’m sure it might be the silk you used, it flows more readily than normal PLA so could be a factory

These coasters look good but there is no way the parts spin or move at all. Not with PLA Basic at lease. If someone can recommend a material that works better for this model and after I try that it actually works, I will change my rating to 5 start. I did take the circles out and everything but PLA Basic is just not slippery I guess.

I tried this model on my P1P and while the model came out great, it sadly does not spin. I suspect the P1P may need a specific profile to get the spinning working correctly.

so you need to pop the rings out, give them a jiggle, and push them out from the bottom. mine spin a little when printed, but I need to pop them out, let them spin and then put them back in with a click

Many thanks for a great template. The Flower of Life is nicely done, but unfortunately not complete! A part is missing in the outer ring. Unfortunately...
