Description
Giant SD Card?! How cool is that?!
I present to You SanDisCase Extreme BOX!
A print-in-place box that resembles an actual SD card as closely as it's feasible.
Trust me - pictures don't give it justice and in person it looks like it shouldn't even exist - absolutely mindboggling. Truly great conversation starter.
SD write lock is a functional lock, preventing opening a box and is the only part that needs to be printed separately.
I recommend printing a few of these locks, because of my current suspicion of it wearing down, but it's to early to confirm that.
This design is parametric, so You can customize it further yourself, by simply clicking "Customize" on the design's page.
You can set the SD scale to fit Your needs and it will be even printed onto the box itself!
This design is still very much Work In Progress, especially in terms of customizability and possible use cases, the look I consider to be already finalized.
How to set up multicolor printing:
- generate and download all parts
- open main object (`SanDisCase Extreme BOX.stl`) in the slicer
- for every modifier object repeat steps:
right click on the object → Add modifier → Load…

- select file You want to add (e.g. grey parts)
- change filament for that object by pressing keyboard key corresponding to the AMS slot number.
If You have any ideas or suggestions - feel free to contact me.
