Parametric Coffee Mug Handle - 3D Innovators Studio

I’m excited to share my latest parametric design: a customizable coffee mug handle! This model features adjustable parameters that you can modify according to your specific needs. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to use and print this design.

Design Guide:

Measure the Outside of Your Mug:

  • This measurement will be considered the Inner Diameter parameter of the handle.
  • Ensure you measure the widest part of your mug to get an accurate fit.

Thickness:

  • This is how thick the ring around the mug will be.
  • Recommendation: 7mm for a sturdy and comfortable grip.

Height:

  • This is how tall the ring around the mug will be.
  • Recommendation: 15mm to ensure a secure fit and stability.

Handle Length:

  • This is how long the handle will be.
  • Recommendation: 38mm as shown in the pictures for a balanced and ergonomic handle.

Grip Height:

  • This is the grip size of the handle.
  • Recommendation: 105mm for the black handle shown in the pictures and 95mm for the shorter pink handle.

Printing Instructions:

Note: I added a thin layer of hair spray to each bed to help with adhesion. Here is the one I use: Hair Spray 

  • Frame: I recommend using PETG material for this print, as it provides better durability and flexibility, which is ideal. Amazon Link

Additional Tips:

  • The design prints quickly, making it easy to create multiple handles for different mugs.
  • Ensure proper adhesion to the print bed to avoid warping or detachment during printing, I recommend hair spray its what I have been using and it works great, easy to clean and reuse if clean by a alcohol damped cloth.

It seem like I'm not able to add text as a modifier to this model, if i set it as part or cut it works but not with modofier.I have tried several times, but it wont detect a second color for modifier, only as a part. Can anybody help? I've add text to many things but this is a first.
