Description

Hello everyon! this is a simple print of a slug trap. Slugs are a nuisance to any gardener, so this is the perfect tool to fight against those slugs! Simply bury the bottom section up to the brim in your garden so that slugs will crawl in, fill will beer as slugs are attracted to yeast! The slugs will drown and will not be coming back out. The lid comes off easily to check your traps, or refill with beer! Thanks everyone! Enjoy! Remixes welcome!

Works great! thanks allot. My Herbs are safe again 😀. i just put some cheap beer in it and the next morning it was already full with snails. I printed it with green PETG.

I decided to upgrade my recycled can system I had been using in my garden since rain typically waters down my beer bait and I really liked the little roof that prevents rain from filling the traps. Printed with Sunlu Gold PLA Metta

thanks for the review! looks cool in that color!! just be careful in the summer with the PLA because it can get soft in the hot sun!

I like the model design but I did change the print profile from 0.2 standard to 0.2 strength because I thought it might hold up better to being outside (only time will tell). I also didn’t use supports I didn’t think they were necessary and the print came out fine. I thought the normal supports that were enabled would have been a pain to remove, if I had chosen to use supports personally I would have picked tree. Thanks for sharing.

printed fine and looks good. sure it’ll work as good as any other trap. not sure the support in the lid was necessary, but it removed easily 👍

no recesses for the uprights in the lid/roof

yes they should be there, thats the only way that the roof is secured to the 4 posts.

Replying to @JonathanH :
you can see the recessed holes in this one. Hopefully I understood you correctly.

prints great, but didn't fix my slug problem, they actually avoided the area around it. perhaps beer connoisseurs? ;-)
