Crafted with care, the Precision Film Cutter ensures each cut is as straight as a director’s vision. Say goodbye to jagged edges and hello to seamless transitions. All you need, besides the elegantly designed 3D parts, are:

Two M3 screws, 9mm or longer
Two M3 nuts
One M3 screw, 15mm or longer
One 1992 blade, renowned for its sharpness and readily available at your local store.

For the ultimate cutting experience, we recommend printing the base in pristine white. Not only does it add a touch of class, but it also acts as your personal lightbox, allowing you to peer through your film and pinpoint the perfect place to make your mark.

I think the slot on the body needs to be narower. With a brand new quality blade it seems to usually result in the film bending rather than cutting, or cutting unevenly. Otherwise pretty nice.

thanks for the feedback, can you measure the thickness of your blade and the slot? I can make a version with a narrower slot for sure.

Hey, sorry didn't see my notifications! the gap on the printed part (Bambu pla matte) is 0.95mm and the blade (Lenox gold) is 0.61mm

all parts fits perfectly, since my Ai mini without AMS, i have to separate the print in two. Added name for my friend. perfect , and excellent gift.

Printing it in translucent/transparent material is an absolutely great idea when you put it in on a light table. Awesome! I'm going to re-print my base as well. :-)

This has been such a welcome upgrade after years of cutting with a ruler and Xacto knife. Printed beautifully in clear PLA and bright orange for the choppy bits. Really speeds up the process when paired with a tracing board. Thank you so much for sharing this model!

looking forward to using this. printed the base in transparent petg which will let some light through. if the designer could make the base thinner it would allow more light/transparency in case anyone wants that.

Absolutely fantastic model! Everything printed exactly as it was supposed to. I've cut tons of film using this and it works great. Only suggestion would be to add a nut holder for the swinging arm since just threading into plastic may make it fail in the future. Maybe I'll remix this in the future
