Description

I designed an EDF motor mount for the original Flite Test A-10 (not Master Series). The mount fits two Flycolor 70mm EDF. I printed the unit out of PETG for added durability.

14 m3-20 screws with nuts are required.

Assembly: 10 m3-20 screws with nuts are required. Fit the top and bottom front formerover the the EDF, 2 to 3mm behind the front lip of the EDF. Add two connector pieces, one on each side of the former, below the screw plates. Secure the front formers and connectors together with 3 m3-20 screws and nuts. Secure the EDF to the connectors with 2 m3-20 screws and nuts. Dry fit the thrust tube on the EDF and then dry fit the rear former over the thrust tube and ensure all screw holes line up. Use sandpaper to make any adjustments for fitting. Once dry fit is satisfactory, secure the thrust tube with a small bead of hot glue. Add the back former and secure in place with 2 m3-20 screws and nuts. Dry fit the front intake along with the top and bottom cowling and adjust fit as required. Secure in place with hot glue or CA. Repeat the process for the second EDF.
