Door Compartment Thetford Toilet Chemical Bottles 750ml

Hello dear campers,

Who doesn't know it? The bottles for the chemical toilet just won't find the right place and rattle around loosely.

This storage compartment has proven to be really useful and helpful for holding two 750ml bottles of Thetford toilet chemicals.

This storage compartment uses the space behind the door to the cassette toilet and is attached to the back of the door / flap.

The compartment is 199mm wide and thus fits most inner surfaces of cassette doors. The back wall of the compartment is designed so that it fits both left-hinged and right-hinged doors.

The back wall has a smooth flat surface and 4 pre-drilled mounting holes, so the storage compartment can be glued OR / AND screwed to the back of the door. I have found 4x13mm stainless steel countersunk screws to be effective for mounting.

Alternatively, the compartment can of course also be screwed to a wall in another place (e.g., storage compartment, cabinet, etc.).

Important!

Even if this compartment will be suitable for many models, please check the following beforehand:

• Is the cassette compartment width sufficient to accommodate the compartment and the bottles? The compartment is 199mm wide.
• Do you have enough depth available when the door is closed? If not, the door would no longer close. The available depth from the back of the door to the cassette must be at least 69mm.
• A suitable adhesive and 4 countersunk screws can be used to fasten the compartment.
  When using screws, it is essential to ensure that the screws are not too long, as they could otherwise protrude through the other side of the door. For my door, a 4x13mm countersunk screw proved effective.
• For precise positioning and to ensure that the chosen position fits and the door can still be closed, it is helpful and recommended to first secure the compartment with double-sided tape. If everything fits and the door, including the bottles inside, can be closed, the screws can be tightened.
