Rainwater Overflow for Raised Beds

Prevent waterlogging and root damage in your raised garden bed after heavy rain.

This simple overflow drain helps excess water escape once the water level reaches the height of the outlet. It is especially useful for raised beds with a water reservoir or for areas that experience frequent rainfall.

Installation

1. Drill a 20 mm hole in the bottom of your raised garden bed.
2. Insert the overflow drain through the hole.
3. Tighten the parts together.
4. Fill your raised bed as usual.

• 20 mm mounting hole
• Maximum wall thickness: 35 mm

Print Information

This model was printed on a Bambu Lab H2D using PETG for improved weather resistance and durability outdoors.

For easier support removal, I used PLA as the support interface material. This produced very clean support surfaces and worked exceptionally well.

Notes

Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos before filling the raised bed with soil, so the installation area is not visible in the photos. The model is already installed and working in my own raised bed.

Designed, printed, and tested in a real raised garden bed.
