Cable Clip for Empty 3D Printing Spools – 3.5 mm Speaker Wire

This clip was designed in Onshape to reuse empty 3D printing filament spools as practical cable organizers.
The design was made specifically for cardboard PolyTerra spools, but it may also fit other spools with a similar edge thickness.

The clip is intended for stereo speaker cables with the classic red/black outer insulation and an overall thickness of about 3.5 mm.
It allows the cable to be secured neatly around the spool, preventing it from unrolling during storage or transport.

Notes

The clip dimensions were optimized for red/black stereo speaker wire with an external thickness of approximately 3.5 mm.
