Description

American Civil War: Union North

The soldiers of the Union North marched from factories, farms, ports, immigrant neighborhoods, frontier towns, and growing industrial cities into the defining struggle of the American Civil War. From the opening battles of 1861 through the war’s final campaigns, Union infantrymen carried standardized blue uniforms, expanding military equipment, and the logistical strength of a rapidly industrializing nation. These soldiers fought across vast distances in forests, fields, rivers, mountains, trenches, and urban strongholds while preserving the Union through years of brutal conflict. This collection aims to capture the appearance, discipline, equipment, and individuality of the Union soldier with historically inspired detail suited for display, gaming, dioramas, and historical appreciation.

 

Note:  there are 20 different soldier models in this set.

Annealing your PLA models can improve strength by 10 – 20 %.
If you plan to play with these sets regularly, annealing is highly recommended.

If your goal is display or occasional play, annealing is optional.
The appearance and finish remain unchanged.

Also, as a 77-year-old maker with hands that sometimes have a mind of their own, I occasionally have to use a little hot-glue surgery to reattach delicate parts. Please handle models with care—especially thin necks, joints, and fragile connectors. Take a moment to study your model before removing supports… or you might find yourself reaching for the glue gun too! 🥲
