Description
1993 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning "Aeronose" Functional Key Holder
Design Concept
Celebrate the birth of the ultimate factory street-sport truck with this highly detailed 1993 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning wall-mounted key holder. Meticulously modeled in Fusion 360, this piece honors the legendary 1st Generation Lightning built by Ford's Special Vehicle Team. It captures the famous "Aeronose" smooth front fascia, the unique sport bumper with integrated fog light cutouts, the classic central oval grille insert, and aggressive wide-track tires. It’s a perfect piece of functional automotive decor for any garage, performance shop, or home entryway.
Key Features
- Precision Fusion 360 Engineering: Designed from the ground up for high-quality FDM printing, ensuring smooth curves along the hood, crisp definition on the aerodynamic headlight housing, and sharp tire treads.
- Integrated Keyslot Mount: The back features a built-in keyslot (keyhole) mechanical mounting system. This allows the truck plate to slide securely over wall-mounted screws for a completely flush, clean, and invisible professional installation.
- Reinforced Sport-Truck Hooks: Positioned perfectly within the lower front fascia alignment, these dual hooks are structurally reinforced to easily handle heavy daily keyrings, keychains, and lanyards.
Printing & Material Advice
- Recommended Material: Grey PETG. To support the weight of multiple keyrings and ensure the mechanical clips remain completely rigid over time, PETG is highly recommended. As seen in the preview, Grey PETG delivers excellent layer strength, high impact resistance, and a beautiful sleek finish.
- Layer Height: 0.16mm - 0.2mm for a perfect balance between sharp texturing on the grille and ultra-smooth hood transitions.
- Infill: 20% to 25% (Gyroid recommended) for top-tier internal structural integrity.
- Supports: Minimal supports are needed underneath the lower chin spoiler splitters and inside the rear mechanical keyslot pocket.
Assembly Instructions
- Print: Use Grey PETG for maximum structural longevity and an awesome metallic aesthetic right off the print bed.
- Wall Prep: Install standard screws with drywall anchors into your wall, leaving the screw heads protruding roughly 3-5mm.
- Mount: Line up the integrated keyslots on the back plate with the screws and slide the truck assembly downward until it locks tightly against the wall.
