Description

not 100% accurate in the least, but i had to model this real quick so i could get back to playing the game. split for printing and color separated for the most part. axe head is designed to swivel in and out, tried to make a locking thing of sorts, but we'll see how it works.

wish there was a part that held the blade out

I have had some issues with the main part with the hammer sticking out, the part on the bottom is not aligned in the middle so that when I put it into my handle it is offfcentered and ruins the whole thing, also could you make inserts for the ring parts so that I don't have to multicolor those parts, it makes the print take multiple hours more. Thanks!

Which file did you use? I just took a look at the "handle 2" file and it splits perfectly in half meaning its all centered. I had the issue you were talking about when I first did a test print, but was pretty sure all the files had been changed to not have that issue.

downloaded the files i posed, I don't see where the part is off center, unless you are talking about a different part.

So far so good. I've printed the two base parts, some layer banding due to a mismatch in wall and internal speeds, corrected with bringing the speeds closer together. As for the reported issue with the "main part" reported by another user, I haven't gotten there yet, now printing, so we'll see. So far, it's a nice design tho. Thank you.

Side note, you mentioned a way to lock the blade in place....would a small 6x2 magnet hole in the top edge of the blade and underneath the housing lock it place? I was trying to eyeball it in bambu studio as i dont have the cad skills. lol

Update: Printed all the parts & got some questions, @ReProps2003 . The "Orange Bit" part, i've printed two, the first one had a failure on the edge (my fault) on the H2S and the second, it printed just fine on my A1 mini, but neither sit completely flush against the back side of "Handle 2." See image 1. I tried sanding the mounting nubs of "Handle 2" a little to see if it was just a little too large and pushing on the inside of the "Orange Bit" but the curvature seems off. Also, i sliced part of "Handle 2" off and did a proof of concept for the magnet and it seems to work. Image 2. Lastly, @sestem mentioned the center ring. I didn't try to multi color print that as I knew it would be a PITA time wise, but if you could make that an insert, that would be pretty great. 2 rings, a darker one, then the inner so we can two tone it would be sweet as I have some glow filament i would like to throw in there, but even just one glue-in ring would be cool. tyty

Good idea using the magnets to secure it. After my daughter used it (she loved taking into school to show her teachers) the blade part now sags so I might drill out (I always increase resolution of infill) and add those magnets.

will you be making the other tools? I would love to use them and it would be great if they could like kinda work too (doesn’t even need electronics, just stuff like the flip out screen on the scanner, etc.) thanks 🙏
