Print Settings
The example print was produced using white Polymaker Pro PLA. This turned out to be one of the most challenging filaments I have worked with, more so than TPU, ABS, ASA, PCTG, and PETG. After extensive calibration, the following settings yielded the best results:
Note: You will need to use some advanced seetings if you and only if you are trying to use the exact same white filament. Otherwise the standard PLA settings work great!
- Filament: White PLA (tricky to print)
- Flow Ratio: 1.0
- Pressure Advance: 0.024
- Chamber Temperature: 30°C
- Nozzle Temperature (High Flow): 250°C
- Bed Temperature: 63°C
- Max Volumetric Speed: 15 mm³/s
- Infill: 5%
Again, If you are using standard PLA, the default slicer settings should work without any modifications.
Tips
When slicing, pay close attention to the internal bridges that connect the Gridfinity squares. These bridges should span the shortest possible distance. The default slicer setting may generate unnecessarily long bridges, which can negatively impact print quality. (sagging and poor fitment to the grid) In the advanced settings you will want to change the bridge direction to 45'
