Description

The Mad Hatter (White Rook) | "Through the Looking-Glass" Chess

“It’s always tea-time, and we’ve no time to wash the things between whiles.”

The corners of the chessboard have just descended into absolute madness! You cannot have a proper Grand Game without a proper tea party, and the most eccentric host in Wonderland has finally arrived.

Introducing the Mad Hatter — balancing his teacup, checking his pocket watch, and stepping in as the formidable White Rook in our chess collection.

About the Model

With his iconic, oversized top hat, a perfectly brewed cup of tea, and an expression of utter, delightful madness, the Hatter makes for a surprisingly sturdy and imposing Rook. He acts as a true tower on the board, ready to slide across the ranks and files to crash the opponent's party.

The model is incredibly rich in detail—from the textures of his flamboyant coat to the intricate face of his pocket watch. As with the rest of the collection, this piece was meticulously sculpted and fully optimized for FDM printing, guaranteeing a stunning tabletop miniature without the need for complex assembly.

⚙️ Tea-Time Printing Tips (Settings)

To ensure your Hatter doesn't spill his tea on the print bed:

  • Layer Height: 0.12 mm or 0.16 mm is highly recommended to capture the small elements, his facial features, and the fabric folds.
  • Supports: Tree (organic) supports are essential. Carefully support the wide brim of his top hat.
  • Infill & Weight: 15% for the body. To give this corner piece the premium, heavy tabletop feel of a true Rook, use slicer modifiers to set the bottom of the base to 100% infill!

♟️ The Grand Game Continues (Collection)

The White army is fortifying its flanks! The Hatter takes his place alongside the other iconic characters of the Looking-Glass world.
