Description
MowEdge is a modular lawn edging system for clean transitions around raised beds, flower beds, paths, and other garden projects. Due to its flat and stable design, the lawnmower can easily drive over the edge, while simultaneously preventing grass from growing into the bed
The system currently consists of 3 different variants:
• Straight elements
• Flexible corner elements with an adjustable angle of up to 30° between parts
• 90° corner elements for right and left turns
All parts have an integrated plug-in/hook system and stabilize each other once installed in the ground
Current dimensions per element:
• 95 mm wide
• 92 mm long
The system is completely modular and can be printed and expanded as often as desired. Longer variants are already planned and will be added in the near future
Assembly:
It is best to pre-pierce the ground slightly and then insert the elements one by one
Important:
The surface should be as level as possible so that the elements lie cleanly and evenly. This is the only way to create a stable and visually clean area
The elements are stable enough for a normal lawnmower to drive over them without issues and are perfect for neat bed edgings without constant re-trimming
Printing recommendation:
• PETG is recommended for outdoor use
• 0.28 mm layer height is completely sufficient
• Support is only needed under the retaining nose
• All support and print settings are already properly saved in the 3MF file
• Simply load into the Slicer and start
Additionally, I am currently working on a printable piercing/insertion tool to make assembly even easier
The project is intended to remain deliberately simple, practical, and infinitely expandable. Further variants and additions will follow
