Description

This is a linear actuator that I made for a side project to learn more about them. This model is fully 3D printed, with this just being a demonstration that you can use with a CNC Sheild or simple Arduino code. The model that I used is the 17HD48002H-22B, which can be press fit into the base of it. If you have a smaller Nema 17, there are still mounting screws that are on the base of it.

IMPORTANT - Print lead screw in the flat orientation, since the up-right position would allow for it to easily break from where the layer lines are at. I recommend using the PLA/PETG interface settings for this (the ones on the 3MF file), since it allows for the smoothest threaded rod you will be able to get.

On the model, there are limit switch mounting holes, but they are not in the best places since the people who designed them didn't really thing too far ahead with them. I would recommend using some kind of thin automotive double sided sticky tape to put it on there.
