The Hat Collector's Problem Nobody Talks About

If you're anything like me, you've got hats. A lot of them. And for the longest time, they just kind of… piled up. Stacked on top of each other on a shelf, tossed on a chair, hung awkwardly on a doorknob. Every time I wanted a specific cap, I'd have to dig through the whole stack, mess up the brims, and somehow still walk out wearing the wrong one.

I tried hooks on the wall. Too permanent, and my landlord wasn't thrilled. I tried those tower-style hat racks. Too bulky and they always seemed to fall over at the worst moment. I wanted something that lived right on my desk — something I could see at a glance, grab from instantly, and actually look good sitting next to my setup.

So I designed one.

Introducing the Hat Desk Stand

This stand holds six hats at a time, displayed side by side so you can actually see what you own. No more digging, no more guessing, no more crushed brims. Whether you're rocking structured snapbacks with flat bills or classic curved dad hats, this stand handles both without any awkward fitting issues. The slots are designed to accommodate the full range of cap styles you probably already own.

It sits cleanly on your desk without taking over your whole workspace. Your hats stay upright, organized, and on display — because a good hat collection deserves to be seen, not buried.

Why I'm proud of this one

I wear a lot of hats — literally — and I wanted something that matched the care I put into collecting them. After several iterations getting the spacing and slot geometry right for both bill types, this is the version I actually kept on my own desk. It's been holding up my collection ever since, and I haven't touched a doorknob or a chair back since.

Printed in PLA on the Bambu Lab H2D.
