LG Microwave LMC2075ST Replacement Knob Post
Print Profile(1)

Description
Replaces a broken post on a LG Countertop Microwave LMC2075ST.
The knob post can get broken if someone pushes on the button on the wrong side, or if the knob is impacted from the side. If you break a post the knob will be diagonal when pressing the button and the door may not open. Remove the knob and use your favorite wooden spoon handle as an opener until you can fix it. Careful to not break the clip on the back of the knob (as seen in the picture with the spring… note I am holding the hing of the knob to the wrong side).
My top post broke and I replaced just that. Two weeks in and its working fine. I rendered for the bottom post and both posts but I am unable to test that.
They all insert the same way. The bottom has a slight slot which you place over the bottom edge. It should span your current bottom post if it exists.
Push the new past plat in firmly and swing the lever from horizontal to vertical.
The lever did not sit flat on mine as I expected, but that may not be bad… it just means it is applying pressure. The grab is not too deep. I could make it deeper by moving the lever hole offset, but it was not necessary on mine.
I printed my final version in abs. I don't think it gets hot around the knob so anything that does not easily separate should work.
This post is part of the control panel… The one I saw online was most of the cost of the microwave. Not this print.
