Description

Description
Bring the mystery of ancient legends to your desk. This Ancient Dragon Guardian Lamp is my entry for the Old World Magic Design Contest. It features a majestic dragon protecting its hoard (the light source), creating a stunning silhouette and wing-glow effect when turned on.

It is designed to be highly efficient, using only ~100 grams of PLA, making it a fast and affordable project with a massive visual impact in less than 6 hours.

Components & Assembly
The lamp is designed to host a puck light (circular LED light).

Light dimensions: 60mm x 60mm x 10mm.

Recommended Light: Amazon Lamp Kit (or any similar 6cm x 6cm x 1cm LED puck).

Fitting options:

Standard Print (100%): Use a few drops of glue or double-sided tape to secure the light in the base.

Friction Fit (98% Scale): If you prefer a tight "click" fit without glue, scale the entire model to 98% in your slicer.

Print Settings & Technical Specs
Dimensions: ~105mm (Height) x 200mm (Width) x ~105mm (Depth).

Supports: Yes, supports are required. I recommend "Tree Supports" (Slim) for easier removal around the dragon's belly and wings.

Infill: 7% (15% If you want to be sure that it doesn't break during removal of the supports).

Walls: 2.

Filament Weight: ~100g.

Filament Suggestion: Solid PLA works great (as seen in the photos).

Files Included
I have included two versions of the model:

Standard Version: The complete model for single-color printing (as shown in the main photo).

Experimental Multi-Color Version: A version with a solid color and the wing membranes in Translucent/Transparent filament for an enhanced glow effect.
