Description

This file is for a Back Plate for a Stratocaster-style guitar to cover the floating tremolo components. There are a few others uploaded, but none that quite met what I was looking for.

The specs on this one:

  • Center-to-Center on outside slots is 52.7mm (2.075"), so suitable for a 52.5mm (2 1/16") string spacing common on Modern/Import guitars like Squier and MIM Fender.
  • The plate is 2mm thick and features a slight roundover on the top edge. Holes are all nicely countersunk for the screw heads and are sized to fit a #4 wood screw or standard pickguard screw.
  • Mounting holes are spaced 81mm (3.19") along the width and 130mm (5.12") along the length outside-to-outside. Middle holes are centered.

There are 2 print profiles uploaded.

  1. Uses a Hilbert's Curve to generate the bottom surface. While this is a much slower print speed (adds 30min), it is well worth it if you plan to print on a textured plate like shown in the photos. This completely eliminates any registration lines or waves that could appear and gives a very appealing finish. You could use this for other build plates too, but the pattern may show up some (can be cool).
  2. Uses a more traditional bottom surface and is a faster print speed. Probably the right choice for using any of the smooth or patterned build plates.
