Description

The new Garmin InReach Mini 3 has a different spine system to attach your InReach mini into accessories such as belt clips, pack clips, dash mounts etc.  compared to the old InReach Mini or Mini 2.  This means that if you have had a Mini or Mini 2, you need to replace all of your accessories that the spine mount system clicks into.  I got my Mini 3 shortly before a trip away and couldn't get new mounts or accessories before I headed away, so I whipped this design up so that I could use the mounts that I already have and thought I would make my design available for others.  I printed it in PETG-HF.  It is designed for a M3 x 6 mm machine screw to attach it to the Mini 3.

No warranty or guarantee implied - check that your Mini 3 is held securely using this mount before heading out.  I have now got the mounting system for the mini 3 from Garmin and it's actually pretty good.

I have used it with the Garmin backpack mount and bike mount for the InReach mini (with spine adapter). Fitment worked fine, it slid in and was held pretty well. It wasn't perfect, it didn't click in place like the original, but I used it for two days in pretty rough conditions and it didn't come loose. As I say in the description, this was a temporary option until I got the new mounting system for the mini 3, so I didn't spend the extra time to get it perfect.

I used this with the Bulletpoint Mounting Solutions Mini 2 arm. It worked perfectly, mounted on the dash. just wanted to followup in case someone else is curious.
