Description
This custom-designed 3D printed adapter enables the integration of a slim rod-style LED light into the MODU® building system. It is specifically engineered to securely hold a compact cylindrical LED flashlight (e.g., Amazon ASIN: B0D41PSJDC) and connect it seamlessly to standard MODU foam blocks.
Product Description
The adapter consists of three precisely fitted components:
- Main housing – Cylindrical body with external MODU-compatible geometry for secure insertion into MODU foam blocks. Printed in PLA matte.
- Threaded retaining cap – Ensures the LED rod is held firmly in place. Printed in PLA matte.
- Lense element - Translucent front disc for soft, child-friendly light distribution. With dual function for switching on and for diffusing light. Printed in transparent PETG.
- Diffuser insert – Optional for the LED lamp an additional diffusor, this one can be printed in another color to change the light color. I used yellow PLA basic for that.
The internal diameter is tailored to fit slim rod-style LED flashlights, allowing a snug, rattle-free fit while maintaining easy removal for battery replacement.
