Description

I designed this quick disconnect so I could move my laser table around more easily.

The disconnect will directly attach to the 4 bolts that came on the laser. I've heard that other models (20W) have the same dimensions so it should fit on those as well. Getting the nuts on is kind of awkward, but once started, you are good.

You can use the attached SVG gasket file to make the gaskets. I used superglue to attach it into the groove in the part that bolts to the laser. If you don't glue it in, it will fall out when you detach the hose.

For the magnets, I used 6mmx2mm strong Neodymium rare earth magnets. A few drops of superglue will hold them in the holes I made for them pretty well.

When putting the magnets in each part, I suggest to glue them in one part first. Make absolutely sure the polarity for each of them are going in the same direction. If you don't then when you try and connect the disconnect, they may not attract. Then let the glue dry completely.

When you are ready to glue the magnets to part 2, place each magnet on the magnet you just glued onto part one. This way when you grab it to glue it in, you will know you have the polarity correct. It's not very fun to realize you put one in backwards. Make sure to let the magnets dry long enough that you are sure they will not come out when you put the two parts together.

Please follow me here to see when I get the 3" and 4" 90 ELLS ready to release.
