Description
I was tired of having to take apart my laser head every so many hours and clean with Q-tips and alcohol. I tested a variety of filters with an anemometer first to see which ones affect air flow the least. Found that the dust filters on a wet-dry vac work the best, and they are washable. After printing, just unscrew the laser housing's top 4 screws and reassemble with the adapter. MAKE SURE to clean or replace the filter when you begin to see dust form on the top, otherwise your laser can overheat. I plan to release other versions with nicer vents in the near future (maybe APTERA). I'm open to modifications, but please keep modifications attached to this post to make them it easier to find.
Filter I used can be found at Walmart its 9.99 and is called a carbon prefilter
Updates***
added some more designs, also rotated it so that filter can be replaced while laser is in home position (obvious design flaw)
