⚾ The Scavenger’s Slugger: Rey Skywalker Inspired Bat
"This isn't just a bat; it’s a legacy found in the sands."
Constructed for the next generation of Jedi, this bat is modeled after Rey’s unique yellow-bladed hilt seen at the end of The Rise of Skywalker. The design features the rugged, mechanical "scavenged" aesthetic, including the distinctive rotating gear ignition switch at the base of the barrel. It’s a modern, tough-looking prop that represents a new era of the Force—perfect for anyone carving their own path on the field.
🛠️ Build Options & Assembly
I have designed this model with two distinct internal construction options to suit how you plan to use it. Both versions consist of a 3-piece modular barrel for easy printing on standard machines.
🔳 Option 1: The Display Edition (All 3D Printed)
Best for: Cosplay, shelf display, and light handling.
- Square Peg Alignment: This version utilizes custom square pegs to ensure perfect rotation and alignment of the hilt details with the barrel.
- Secure Construction: The 3-piece assembly is designed with tight-tolerance sockets for a rock-solid feel once glued, requiring no external hardware.
🔴 Option 2: The "Heavy" Edition (Reinforced Core)
Best for: Added swinging, and "soft play" with light foam balls.
- Dowel-Reinforced: Features a hollow center channel running through all three pieces. This allows you to insert a continuous round dowel for maximum structural integrity.
- Versatile Sizing: I have included files compatible with multiple standard dowel diameters to suit what you have available:
- 9mm / 12mm / 15mm / 18mm
- Instructions: Slide your chosen dowel through the segments and secure with epoxy for a bat that feels balanced and exceptionally strong.
Note: For both options, I recommend using a high-strength adhesive (like 2-part Epoxy or Gorilla Super Glue) on the connecting faces to ensure the segments stay permanently bonded during handling.
