Description

Happy Gargoyle Shelf Critter (3D Printable)

This Happy Gargoyle shelf critter is designed with a playful, friendly expression while still leaning forward in a classic gargoyle pose. Unlike flat-backed shelf sitters, this model intentionally leans forward like a real architectural gargoyle, giving it a more dynamic and realistic stance.

Because of this forward-leaning posture, the angle of the legs prevents the model from sitting perfectly flush on a shelf by itself. As shown in the photos, we recommend attaching a small sticky pad, museum putty, or double-sided tape to the bottom to keep it securely in place and prevent it from sliding or falling.

Features

  • Forward-leaning gargoyle pose inspired by real gargoyle statues
  • Friendly, “happy” expression
  • Designed as a shelf or ledge critter
  • Looks especially realistic when printed in stone PLA

Printing Notes

  • Prints well in PLA, PETG, or stone-filled PLA
  • Stone PLA highly recommended for the best visual effect
  • Supports needed
  • Single-piece print
  • Scales easily without losing detail

Display Tips

  • Use a small sticky pad, museum putty, or double-sided tape on the bottom
  • Works great on shelves, mantels, desks, or ledges
  • Perfect for spooky-but-cute or gothic décor

This model is meant to look alive and expressive, trading a perfectly flat base for a more authentic gargoyle stance—and the result is well worth it.
