- Thin 5mm LED "neon" strip lights x 1: Found mine on Aliexpress. See dimensions in photos
Description
Are you struggling to mount LED light strips even slightly straight? Are you frustrated with a simple lack of mounting hardware for your strip light?
I developed a simple and effective mounting solution for 5mm LED “neon” style of modern strip lights. I wanted something to assist with keeping the light strip nice and straight in my ice shack after being disappointed with the 10 sad clips provided to somehow secure 30 feet of LEDs… somehow this isn't ideal.
I promise this is SO much better! Tested with PLA for the time being. These fit nice and snug on the style of LED strip you see in the photos. This is intentional by design in order to prevent these lights from coming loose when they'll be getting jostled around down a roadway for transport as most roads in Saskatchewan suck in my area.
You may notice that the model is printed favoring the Z axis. The reason for this is simply to allow easy adjustment in size or changing of shape. The model will partially snap when bent to allow nice even curves along walls like in the modified camper you see in my photos along the roof line. Printing this way also allows for easy adjustment in length. A sharp knife is definitely helpful here, but not absolutely necessary.
