Ionic Column Pedestal - Custom XL Version

I created this customized and enlarged version of a classic Ionic-style pedestal, starting from the basic model found on Thingiverse (thing:4701996). The final result is a robust and elegant stand, perfect for plants or decorative objects.

🛠 Technical Specifications and Modifications

• Final Height: Approximately 42 cm, achieved by resizing the entire original project.
• Material: Entirely printed in white PLA.
• Component Redesign:
  • Base: Completely redesigned to ensure greater stability for the new dimensions.
  • Central Section (Shaft): Redesigned to maintain correct proportions after upscaling.
  • Capital (Top Part): Modified in several aesthetic and structural elements.

🧩 Assembly and Interlocks

To ensure all parts assembled correctly despite the large print size, I chose to:

• Leave a slight play (tolerance) between the various male-female connections.
• Note: Given the intentional play, it is necessary to use glue for a fixed and permanent alignment of the three modules.
