Description
The Prisma Rail System for Skadis Pegboard (PRS) is a dovetail-guided container or shelf system on which different containers or shelves can be combined in an endless row. You are completely free in your design options here.
Here you will currently only find the rail system and the hook; the corresponding containers can be found under the links below, exclusively on Makerworld:
- Tube Container (e.g., tubes for watercolor paints, etc.)
- Square Container (e.g., Revell Aqua Color, etc.)
- Round Container (Revell Enamel Color, etc.)
You can find all system components currently created by me, with technical data and instructions, in the PDF list. If new components are added, I will of course expand and publish the list (note the date in the top right of the PDF).
A special feature of the system is the method of attaching the hook. These are printed separately and are coordinated with the rail system. This type of hook allows you to work without glue, as they are simply pressed into the designated recess.
However, it is also possible to glue the hooks with superglue. They are equipped with additional ventilation channels to dissipate the overpressure created during pressing and simultaneously distribute the glue evenly.
You have the choice and the freedom to do what you prefer, or just if the print wasn't so precise.
As I said, the hooks can be pressed in by hand and removed again without damage.
For the hooks to withstand the load, they must in any case be printed from at least PETG material or better. Normal PLA is not suitable for this!
I think the system has potential and can be easily expanded. In the future, more containers, shelves, and similar items will certainly be added – I already have some ideas for that 😉 Stay tuned, maybe there's something interesting for you.
