how does the lid fit? i saw a technique of notching out a few millimetres of each corner at the top of the box where the lid sits. so imagine 4 notches a few mm wide and just slightly shorter than the lid. makes on and off much easier.

I could see where the notches would be a benefit, but honestly the lid fit really nice! I needed a nice box to house a chess set I made for my Granddaughter, and this worked perfectly. I used PLA Wood so it really had a nice look and feel.
