DIY VR Wire 2
Print Profile(1)

Description
Credits go to 4incerism and kaichanx3d on Discord for coming up with the idea and creating the parts list. I designed the 3D-printable components.
This is a DIY version of the VR Wire 2 https://vr-wire.com/collections/products
You can source all the same parts used in the original yourself. Its made from pulleys, curtain cord, and bearings, bringing the total cost to about 25€.
Putting it all together is pretty straightforward. My print profile includes 3 plates. You can choose between a double-bearing version for the wire pulley or a single-bearing version like the original. I use the double version so it can’t flip over.
I also added a ceiling mount. I needed some offset because of my light, so I just screwed it into my ceiling. If you can’t do that, you’ll need to find another way to mount the curtain cord.
If you want to see how to mount it correctly, just watch the setup guide on the original VR Wire website.
