45L IKEA Samla Filament Drybox

This drybox is built from a 45L IKEA Samla container and designed to keep 3D printing filament dry and ready for use. Two 8mm threaded rods serve as spool holders, providing stable support for multiple filament spools.

To mount the silica gel box, M2 screws with M2 nuts are used for secure fastening. The main printed components are made of PLA, while more stress- and wear-resistant parts are printed from other materials:

PETG-CF for the filament entry and exit points, ensuring durability and resistance to friction.

TPU for the closing clamps, giving them flexibility and a tight seal.

For filament feeding, PC4-M10 pneumatic connectors are installed, paired with standard 4mm PTFE filament tubes, allowing smooth filament guidance directly to the printer.

This setup ensures optimal humidity control, easy access, and reliable performance for a wide range of filaments.
