Description

M4-AR-15 Upper vise block

Attention! This model should be fitted as precisely as possible to work correctly. To avoid excessive clearances caused by material shrinkage, I recommend scaling the model by the percentage value specific to the material you are using (Since the cooperating parts are on the inside, I recommend reducing the model's dimensions). If you notice excessive clearances in an already printed model, I recommend eliminating them, for example, by using electrical tape.

Exact dimensions of each AR-15 carbine may vary depending on the manufacturer. In case the holes don't align perfectly, I recommend using pins with a smaller diameter.

Could you make a vise block like this for a SIG 550 / PE90 / STGW 90? That would be really great!

If I have an original SIG (or a high-fidelity replica) at my disposal, I will certainly get it done. I could obviously use the dimensions available online, but before uploading, I should verify the fit to be sure.

solid and works well. mounting holes are a little off, but nothing a file couldn’t fix

Thank you for that information. The holes have been re-checked and the dimension has been corrected. You can still use the previously printed block by printing smaller pins, which are on the second plate of the print profile.

if youre doing anything torque related with your barrel, this is not a sufficient vice mount. this should only be used for low torque or no torque accessory fiddling. for proper barrel torque for barrel nuts or muzzle devices you need to use a vice block that interfaces with the barrel extension lugs.

Every AR-15 owner should know that this block is not meant for removing muzzle devices. If you need to unscrew a flash hider, try my version of the BEV block instead: [link: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1833914-magpul-bev-block#profileId-1958561]

Its pretty good. Its a little short (probably to save filament) but it does have good measurements pin to pin and its really cool they included plastic pins for use as well. Only 4 stars just because if you have a vise with very large jaws, this is a little tricky to use and make sure it doesn't touch your upper. I would add a block on the bottom or scale it taller if you have big vise jaws.
