- cyanoacrylate glue x 1:
Description

This is a replacement spike/peg for solar lights that stick into the ground.
This spike is for lights mounted on a 20mm ⌀ tube and tapers slightly to create a firm fit. I bought these lights at Dollarama.
If you have the style of light with a 24mm hole in the middle of a flat base check out my other solar light spike model.
Filament
I recommend printing these out of PETG or another filament that is UV resistant and suitable for use outdoors. If you print this from PLA it will probably hold up for a season but exposure to the elements means it likely won't last.
Print orientation and assembly
This prints in three parts - the cap, and two halves of the spike split lengthwise. This eliminates the need to print with supports, reduces print time, and maximizes strength to prevent the spike from snapping off in the ground.
Glue the two halves of the spike together with super glue (cyanoacrylate), then press the cap firmly on. If you don't have glue the cap alone should hold the two pieces together reasonably well.
The included print profile uses large layer heights for quick printing and greater strength.
