Description

Hello there!

This is a kit of 3D printed forms that can be used as markers for 3D scanners. I have included three different types of markers:

  • Pyramid (height: 53mm)
  • Dome (height: 20mm, diameter: 43mm)
  • Bar (height/width: 15mm, length: 205mm)

All of these can be printed but you still need to apply the actual 3D scanner markers. In the pictures I have already attached them to the 3D printed objects.

These three different shapes are all prepared to integrate magnets into the print to be able to stick the markers to any magnetic surface. I have prepared the models to include round magnets with either 4x2 mm (CA001) or 5x2 mm (CA003). Please choose which magnet you need and print the build plate. You will find six build plates in the 3mf file that are labeled like “Pyramid Marker 4x2” and “Pyramid Marker 5x2” to differentiate between the magnet sizes:

The pyramids have three embedded magnets, the dome and the bar four magnets each. All prints have a pre-programmed pause at layer 20. This is where you should add your magnets. After you added the magnets hit “Resume” in Bambu Studio to continue the print:

And of course like I already said: after printing you still need to apply your own marker stickers which can be bought everywhere. The models are designed to fit markers with an outer diameter of 10 mm or smaller.

Have fun with this print! Let me know if you need these for other magnet sizes, too.

Printed fine, the pause on layer 20 worked as expected and the magnets were easily placed. The only thing is that I wished I used glue since the magnets have a bit of vertical wiggleroom so I now have rattling pyramids....
