This 3D-printed universal air vent and filter cover is a smart and versatile solution for improving airflow and filtration in any home environment. Designed with functionality and simplicity in mind, it is ideal for both air intake and exhaust ducts. It can also be used for speaker enclosures, making it a multi-purpose accessory for home upgrades or DIY projects.
The system is composed of two parts: a round perforated cap and a base ring. The base has an inner diameter of 160 mm, allowing it to fit around standard duct openings. It features three screw holes that let you firmly secure it to a wall or surface using screws, or alternatively, you can attach it with adhesive if you prefer a non-invasive setup. For improved sealing and noise isolation, a rubber or foam strip can be added between the base and the wall, ensuring a tighter, more insulated connection.
The cap includes a wide array of evenly spaced holes to promote efficient airflow while also helping to prevent the entry of dust and larger debris. Inside the frame, you can easily insert a standard circular filter (18 cm in diameter), which stays securely in place. The cover screws on top of the base, making it super easy to change the filter whenever needed.
