Description

More flexible and usable viaducts for Kato Unitrack.

For mobile layouts KATO’s Unitrack is the first and only choice in n-scale and one of the best track systems in general:

https://unitrack.katomodels.com/what_is_uni_track

The system includes viaduct tracks and as I have made a viaduct for my Minitrix unloader, a hade fun to create more viaducts, compatible to KATO’s original viaduct tracks. The advantage of my viaducts is, that it uses simple unitrack rails, just clipped into the viaduct, so you can use the rails with viaducts or as simple rails. Furthermore it’s designed in such way, that below track you can route cables, what is not possible with the original viaduct rails. Finally you can find here viaducts for track geometries, that are not available as originals, for example R216-45, and all the 15deg-curved tracks.

Hope you enjoy these extended possibilities to create viaducts with KATO’s great track system. Happy printing and a lot of fun with your model railway layout!

Some note concering the print profiles:

You probably don’t need viaducts for all possible tracks, that Kato offers. But there is no possibility to name plates and it will be challenging to identify from thumbnails alone whether the piece on the current plate is let’s say made for a R315-45 or for a R282-45.

By that reason I decided to create print profiles for each kind of track separate and to name the profile correspondingly. So, if you look for example for viaducts for R282-45-curved track, you may select the profile with corresponding name. Inside the profile you may select, whether to take the plate to print one or two or more of them.

Hope this explains the idea. If you have another proposals, let me know.
