Description

A bamboo aeolian organ is a unique musical instrument, normally made from bamboo pipes. The term "aeolian" refers to the way the instrument is played—by the wind.  The organ consists of multiple pipes of varying lengths, each of which produces a different pitch.  When the wind blows across the open ends of these pipes, it creates vibrations that produce musical notes. The wind essentially "plays" the instrument, creating an ethereal and natural sound.

The sound is often described as haunting, serene, and otherworldly. It can range from gentle, whispering tones to more resonant, melodic sounds, depending on the strength and direction of the wind.   The soothing sounds of the organ are also used in gardens and meditation spaces to enhance the ambiance.

This print can be anchored to a flat surface or hung.  When hanging it should not be permitted to rotate.

Here is a sample of the sound on a very windy day.  Typically they sound like Mourning Doves (and usually attract some!)
