Description

This bracket allows the mounting of a HP RP9 G1 Point of Sale all in one touchscreen unit to a flat surface for use as a home assistant dashboard.

Although these units support a VESA 100x100 mount, I wanted something that could mount directly to side of a steel cabinet with a low profile. After examining how the factory stands are put together, I came up with this. It reuses the mounting clip from the factory stand but further supports it providing for a more rigid mounting. The spring tab from the original design is still functional too, allowing for easy attachment and removal of the unit.

The 4 clearance holes around the outside are for M5 socket head cap screws on a 100x100 pattern, and the 4 offset inner holes match the pattern on the HP mounting bracket. These use countersunk M4 screws.

I have installed on the side of an old steel cabinet by drilling through holes for all 8 holes, and bolting them all in place. This is very rigid, even with the flimsy metal that the cabinet is made out of. I have printed mine out of ABS-GF.

Included is a second plate that has a inner piece that can be optionally used to stiffen up the mounting arrangement.
