Description

Collapsible Car Stand for 1/28 Cars

Have too many cars but too little space?

Designed to fit in your Mini-Z pit bag, this stand holds up to 3 cars (can be extended but not tested for stability).

Wheel cutout on platform made for 98mm wheelbase cars.

Should fit most 1/28 2WD cars from Kyosho, Atomic, RTRC, GL Racing, Reflex Racing etc.

Printed and tested with eSUN PLA+

Hardware required:

  • M3 x 5mm Button Head Screws - QTY 4 (M3 x 8mm can also be used)
  • M3 x 8mm Button Head Screws - QTY 4
  • M3 x 10mm Button Head Screws - QTY 8

Do not scale to other sizes as the dimension of the holes will change.

*UPDATE 16TH JAN 2025

  • Increased infill of supporting rods to 100%
  • Increased number of walls for all models to 3
  • Strengthened B Rod where it supports most of the load

Assembly tips:

The cutout on both sides of the platform identifies the base of the stand.

Although all 4 types of links looks similar, the holes have different dimension.

Thanks for sharing this unique design. I really like the portability of it. It was a challenge to assemble with only the photos to go by, but I got it figured out. If I were to do it again, I would confirm that the infill is set to 100% to add as much strength as possible to the lower stand layer. I would also likely print it in ABS, but I like the color of the PLA better, so I'll give this a try first and go from there.

Thank you for the feedback, I have made the B Rod stronger and it is re-uploaded. You may like to reprint just the B Rods or all of them because I have increased to 3 walls with 100% infill. I have added some photos for helping with the assembly too!
