Description

Update! I uploaded a completely new Model. The fixed geometry should be the solution to the bed adhesion Issues a lot of People hat.

Thanks to everyone who uploaded a better print profile!

If you had issues before and the update fixed it, please let me know in the comments.

---

It’s a Shrimp, and yes, it’s articulated! ;)

Carefully crafted with fine details and smooth articulation, this 3D model is designed to print in place without the need for support structures.
Ideal as a unique decoration, a satisfying fidget toy, or simply a showpiece of 3D printing precision.

If you carefully apply a bit of heat you can bend the whiskers into any position you like.

Note: due to its fine details, it’s not recommended as a toy for young children.

Happy printing!

Thanks to everyone for the huge response to this Model!

it’s just the print profile. the body and tail don’t print until the 2/3rd layer essentially printing mid air and then creating the BLOB

Can you send me a screenshot of that? It didn't do that on my system.

You can see the different layers in the slicer essentially printing midair for everything but the edges of the whiskers

I've had the same problem on an A1 across three attempts (cleaned build plate, calibrated and tried gyroid).

Fixed profile worked. Which makes me wonder how people print the original profile. Different slicer that automatically adjusts?

@Bentley3520 try changing the setting for infill to rectilinear. should prevent collisions from the hot end and the print

Edit to my previous rating: It turned out the issue for me was with the Pink Overture PLA not sticking at all to the bed. I tried again with a different brand and it printed perfectly! This model is a nightmare to print. Ive tried changing infill, adding mouse ears to help it stick, slowing down speed and tried out the new V2 version. Nothing works. My build plate is clean and Ive never struggled so badly to print a model

hi there. sorry to hear you’re having troubles. I can see you’ve tried different print profiles based on your photo. as they all seem to have issues around the same layer height I would recommend running a full calibration on your machine and checking your z axis for debris/dirt incase there’s an issue with the height around that level

have you tried again since? Not sure which profile was the first one at the time of printing. There are a few updated ones now including the two I posted as well as the new one the designer just posted.
