Description

A 3D printable modular mosspole that can be filled with sphagnum mos.

It exists of 4 pieces.

1. Mosspole with closed structure in the back (to keep moist in for longer)
2. Mosspole with open structure, for more aerea for plants to grow in
3. Groundpin
4. Top cap

Additional parts can be printed to extend the length of the mosspole!

Thank you very much! It turned out great! 🌱 Possible suggestion: Add a top cap with the possibility to screw on a 0.5L PET bottle for watering it. =)

thanks! will look into adding some additions! like a slow dripping bottole etc. Still need to find the time to add zome additions (also a 40 to 60mm converter and visa versa)

Truly elegant design, but as a beginner I encountered some challenges, see images I am naturally curious what I can do to improve such results Firstly, the upper part where the moss stick thread sits has some imperfections It was printed without supports Was it too hot and the filament could not cool down quickly enough What is the problem with these fine strands or the unevenness in the rhombuses I would be thrilled to receive some tips

This is an English platform, so I had to use translate as my German is not so great. I think your print looks good, the things you're noticing are; some seam lines, and the few fuzzy threads are there and can be cleaned up using some flush cutters and a lighter. Other then that I think your print looks very well. Maybe your expectations of 3D printing are too high?

thanks for your feedback. sorry, since everything seemed to be auto translated into German, I just assumed it would be the same the other way round. I am happy with the result for a first try but I am 100 convinced you can achieve results without this imperfections. thank you for the tips anyways! :)

Ok, what filament are you using? And what printer? I have printed many of these poles and have had only one fail due to bad bed adhesion (user fault from my side).

You can print them best upside down without using any suport, just a brim works fine.
