Description

This is a lightsaber display piece that is used to create a nice background for photos and general display. I had been struggling to get good pictures of my various hilt designs (coming soon) and realized that no printed mats exist for printing. This design is influenced by various lightsaber sellers and the "Jedi: Fallen Order" workbench. It is quite large at 60 cm x 25 cm and can accommodate almost any sized hilt. No glue or hardware is required, and color swapping can be utilized to achieve the multicolor appearance.

Printing:

-0.25mm layer height

-15% Gyroid infill

-2 walls and bottom and top layers

-Ironing on all top surfaces (I was playing with variables and ended up with a cool texture on the silver sections)

Due to the large size of the individual pieces, the print bed must be Bambu-sized (256mm x 256mm). Good adhesion is a VERY IMPORTANT.

If printing at 0.25mm layer height, the color swaps will be at layers 8 and 9. My color choices from bottom to top were: Black, Silver, and Yellow.

With these selections, the total filament usage was 370g.

Assembly:

Simply insert 8 printed clips into the board pieces. Align everything and snap together.

Hey! That is a fantastic idea that I have not thought about yet. Thanks for the suggestion! How would you like to see it mounted on a wall? Adhesive, screw holes, other?

well me personally I would be using this to mount Galaxy edge hilts if it were me so I would think the best option would be screwing it to the wall in some way

Good to know. I will see what I can make happen. No promises for anything soon, but it will be in the works.
