Features:

Perfect Size & Weight: Each disk is precisely modeled to match the official game’s dimensions and weight. Adjust infill to ensure each disk weighs 6–7 grams for optimal flicking performance.

Magnetic Boards: The modular boards snap together with 15x3mm disk magnets (2 per board required, magnets not included) for a stable, friction-free playing surface. Print should be paused at layers 23 and 68 (if printing at 0.2mm layer height) to insert magnets.

Pre-Printed Character Disks: No need for cardboard inserts! Each disk includes its character’s image directly on the surface, making setup fast and seamless.

Expanded Gameplay: Originally a two-player game, this set allows for additional players, inspired by the need for family fun. Now everyone can join the action!

Custom Teams: The game traditionally features two factions, the Hoods and the Citizens, each with unique characters. With this set, you can mix and match characters from both teams to create custom lineups that suit your style.

Game Rules:

Objective: Knock out the opposing team’s Leader disk or eliminate all opposing characters to win.

Setup:

1. Assemble the modular board using magnets for a stable arena. Each player places 2 obstacles in their zone (~12-16in from the edge of that player’s side). Then each player places 1 additional obstacle anywhere in the center of the playing area. Note: if playing on a smaller table, few obstacles can be used and vice versa.

2. Each player selects a team of 7 disks (the 5 common disks, and then 2 from the faction specific list). You can stick to classic teams (Hoods vs. Citizens) or create a custom team using characters from both factions.

3. Place your disks on your side of the board in the designated starting zone. Do this by determining a starting player, and going clockwise each player places 1 puck in their zone until all players have places all 7 of their pucks.

Gameplay:

1. Players take turns flicking (activating) one of their disks. A flick must be performed with a single finger, aiming to:

• Knock opponent disks out of the arena.

• Position your disks strategically for offense or defense.

2. A disk that leaves the arena is considered “knocked out” and is removed from the game.

3. Special abilities can be used during your turn, depending on the character’s unique traits.

Disk Types

Citizens and Hoods Common Disks:

Captain → Can take any power of an allied puck that has been eliminated

Guard → When an allied puck is eliminated, it can immediately be put back into play by replacing the guard with it, who is eliminated in return.

Assassin → Eliminates enemy puck upon contact (when activated).

Runner → Can be played again if, when activated, does not touch any allied or enemy puck.

Immortal → Cannot be eliminated during its turn (meaning, if it goes off the table when activated, it gets placed back into that player’s zone).

The Hoods Only Disks:

Infested Eliminates enemy pucks upon contact, even if it’s the enemy’s turn. This puck is also eliminated.

Shadow → If this puck touches an enemy puck without ejecting it, the shadow puck can be placed on top of the enemy puck. As long as the shadow is on top of the enemy puck, it cannot be played. The shadow puck, however, can be played (flicked while on top of enemy puck.

Shaman Whenever the shaman ejects an enemy puck, a golem can be added into that player’s zone.

Golem A powerless/icon-less puck that is generated by the Shaman.

The Citizens Only Disks:

Major → The powers of enemy pucks have no effect on the Major. Can only be eliminated by ejection.

Commando → Can move an additional time if he touches any puck when activated (can only be done once per turn.

Sapper → Can move the last obstacle that he touches when activated. Can put the obstacle anywhere on the field they choose.

Why This Version?

While playing PitchOut with my daughter, my wife wanted to join, inspiring me to create this upgraded version. Now, PitchOut isn’t limited to just two players—families and groups of friends can enjoy it together. With customizable teams and magnetically secured boards, this set is perfect for casual gaming or competitive play.

Whether you’re a fan of the original game or new to PitchOut, this set is designed to bring hours of fun and strategic challenge. Check out the image of the characters included in this post to learn more about the different symbols and abilities.
