Every now and then you want to fill up an area on a Gridfinity base with a flat surface. In my case, one of my Ikea Alex drawers has some stuff that's just too big to make bins for, and I really didn't want to jump headfirst into Neogrid, especially right now, since Hands on Katie's about to bring out Neogrid 2.0. So, for now, I'm lining a portion of that drawer's Gridfinity base with these flat “tiles”. I only needed a couple of different sizes, but I figured since I was already in Fusion making these, I might as well make every possible size from 1x1 to 6x6 and share.
These are 7mm tall, including the base, so they stand ~2mm above the grid. Why that height? Well, if you check the Neogrid master files, you'll find a couple of these filler bits, and these match up with those height-wise. Might as well play nicely with the other kids, right?
In the attached images, you see a 2x2 filler plate that was printed in the eSun ePLA-SS (or -SE depending on when you bought it!). eSun's also calling it “PLA Basic”. So many names for the same thing - wild. It would also print just fine in eSun PLA+ or Bambu's PLA Basic, or whatever else you'd like to try printing Gridfinity bits out of.
