This unique 3D-printed sphere combines aesthetics with functionality, styled like a mysterious artifact. The sphere serves as a secure vault, featuring an intricate rotational mechanism to unlock it. Solving the puzzle is a challenge, as the locking mechanism involves multiple pins and grooves that must align perfectly to open.

When assembled, it resembles a cosmic relic, perfect for storing small treasures or acting as a stunning display piece. The puzzle mechanism requires different actions for assembly and disassembly, ensuring a satisfying experience for enthusiasts of logical challenges. Beware of traps that force you to retrace your steps when attempting to solve it!

Ideal for fans of puzzles, cosmic themes, or those seeking a creative storage solution.

I’ll describe how I achieved this aged effect—not as a professional guide, but simply how I did it. I used regular water-based watercolor paints. I dipped a brush in water and mixed a very diluted solution. Then, I applied it into all the crevices and openings, wiping off the excess with a paper towel. After it dried, I wiped the raised surfaces with a damp cloth to make them clean and shiny again.

What do you need for assembly?

Only fast-drying glue is needed for assembly.

Assembly instructions are available in video format:

Thank you, I was thinking about making an exterior stencil to make the inner part easier to paint

Excellent model. Printed in some of the absolute cheapest silk filament I've ever used and still ran flawlessly. Recommend using slim tree supports for ease of removal and material savings (default support column is almost 25% of the build).

I didn’t even know such a kit existed! It’s actually perfect for this model. I need to get one because it has so much potential

This would be amazing. I don't want to print it yet in case you change it up for the magnet install. Please let us know if you figure that out!

I'll probably make a second version with the Infinity Stone inside and a magnetic holder, but I'll order it next month

I utilized this model to recreate the Orb containing the Power Stone from Guardians of the Galaxy. The labyrinthine mechanism strongly reminded me of the combination used in the film to open the Orb. Internally, I added a resin-cast purple gem with an embedded white LED, the whole illuminating with a touch-sensitive button on the sphere's surface. The LED is powered by a CR2032 battery concealed beneath the gem's base
