Why so serious? I thought of making a cylindrical case for the Raspberry Pi5 instead of the classic parallelepiped, a modern design to keep on the desk.
The project was developed using a design method, which required various tests, as you can see from the pictures. I started with the volumetric study and then went on to design the door panel, trying to find a solution that would not change the roundness of the object but at the same time be ergonomic for the connection of the cables; this was the most difficult part and required several attempts. I then went on to design the ventilation system and the lid with a rotating interlocking block. I also managed to design the power button with a very simple passive system without the need for springs.
You only need 4 screws with a diameter of Ø 2,7 x L (max) 4,5 mm and glue to glue the power button block.
Stay tuned for future revisions to the design.
