I have several 4.8mm (3/16in) straight files that I use to sharpen a Stihl MS261 chainsaw. I prefer to use the files in the 2-in-1 file kit, but also want to use my files on other projects. To save my hands from the pointy ends, I designed a push fit handle for the 4.8mm files.
The file is fitted to the handle by a firm tap with a hammer the upright file into the handle that's resting on a hard surface, though, not too firmly as to crack the plastic.
My print is made in eSUN PLA+ Red and White 1.75mm filaments, with 0.2mm layer height on a Bambu X1 Carbon printer. Print supports are not required.
To help identify the file size easily, I've embeded text into the handle butt with the size "4.8mm". An multi-coloured print capability will be required to benefit from this text.
Both a print profile and the individual STL file is included.
I hope that you can find this print useful, too. If so, you can support my work by buying me a coffee …
