I wanted a slim no frills case to hold my Raspberry Pi Camera module. It has a ¼ 20 camera mount thread embedded into it.
- The Front cover is a friction fit.
- The STL files include a version where the mount and case are in two parts for either remixing or to print combined, but with thicker walls and infill ti support the heat insert.
- The ribbon cable is threaded into the back before attaching to the camera.
- You will probably want a dab of glue to hold the circuit board in place, the pins are a loose fit.
- Or you could squash them down with a hot soldering iron to trap the board.
Print settings
- Printed without supports in a black basic PLA
- The front and main part of the case had 3 walls and 10% infill
- The part with the mount had 6 walls and a probably exisve 90% infill. You can probably get away with much less, but I didn't want it deforming when I put the heat insert in.
- This model acted somewhat as a test print for adding a heat insert.
